Dr. Abdulrahman bin Omar Al-Madkhali is a Professor of Sunnah and its Sciences and a postgraduate professor at the College of Sharia and Law at Jazan University. His academic, administrative, and advisory career combines university teaching, scientific research, quality and institutional development, endowment-related work, and participation in community and institutional committees.

He earned his Ph.D. in Sunnah and its Sciences from the College of Fundamentals of Religion at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University with first-class honors. He also obtained his master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the same university with excellent grades. In addition to his Sharia specialization, he studied international commercial arbitration and earned diplomas in international arbitration and the preparation of Arab international arbitrators. He has also received scholarly authorizations in the Qur’an, recitation, Tajweed, Hadith, Islamic jurisprudence, and other Islamic disciplines from a number of scholars.

At Jazan University, he has held several academic and administrative roles, including Vice Dean of the College of Sharia and Law for Quality and Academic Development, Secretary of Scientific Chairs, member of the College Council, member of the Sharia Department Council, and member of the College Advisory Committee. He has also participated in postgraduate education, examined master’s and doctoral theses, reviewed academic research, and contributed to evaluating postgraduate program plans at Saudi universities.

His experience includes quality management, strategic planning, and administrative development. He has participated in programs and workshops in Saudi Arabia and abroad covering administrative quality, quality assurance, program evaluation, self-study, strategic planning, project management, change management, executive planning, leadership, administrative creativity, problem-solving, decision-making, knowledge management, and process improvement.

He has also been extensively involved in the endowment sector. His roles have included membership in the regional Endowments Council in Jazan, committees concerned with endowment development, the Endowments Committee at the Jazan Chamber, the National Endowments Committee, and a joint committee between the General Authority for Awqaf and the Federation of Saudi Chambers.

He has served as a part-time adviser to the Emirate of Jazan Region and as Secretary-General of the Central Committee for Reconciliation. He has participated in numerous councils, committees, and working groups addressing social, developmental, and academic issues, including poverty studies, social care, intellectual security, housing, scientific research, and strategic and executive planning.

In training, he holds professional trainer accreditation and has completed programs in trainer preparation, presentation and public speaking, thinking skills, and accelerated learning. His training background also includes anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing, particularly in charitable and nonprofit organizations, as well as the drafting and documentation of wills and endowments.

Dr. Al-Madkhali has produced a substantial body of academic work in Sunnah, Hadith studies, Islamic jurisprudence, legal and social issues. His published research covers subjects including the Prophetic Sunnah and biography, the Basic Law of Governance, security, cybercrime, endowments, Hisbah, and specialized topics in Hadith sciences.

He has participated in academic conferences and seminars in Saudi Arabia and abroad and has presented peer-reviewed research on Sharia, security, society, endowments, and contemporary applications. His international academic participation has included events in Malaysia, Brunei, and Canada.

During his career, he received the Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Award for Excellence in the Distinguished Performance category at the level of government administration leaders in the Jazan Region.

His experience brings together Sharia knowledge, academic work, administration, quality, endowments, strategic planning, and training, giving him a broad practical and academic perspective on institutional and social issues.
