Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Omar Al-Attas is a Saudi expert in quality management and institutional excellence, with extensive experience in management systems development, organizational assessment, project management, auditing, consulting, training, and community leadership. His career spans government, private-sector, technical, advisory, and nonprofit environments, allowing him to build a broad professional perspective grounded in quality, operational efficiency, governance, and institutional development.

He holds a PhD in Quality Management and a Master’s degree in Management, in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, a Bachelor’s degree in Sharia, and a diploma in Family Counseling. This multidisciplinary academic background enables him to address organizational and administrative challenges from technical, managerial, social, and ethical perspectives.

Dr. Mohammed held several executive and leadership positions, most notably serving for ten years as Director General of the Jazan Branch of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization. In this role, he contributed to promoting standards, quality systems, compliance, and institutional awareness of continuous improvement. He also managed Edarati Institute for Training and Consulting, worked as a project manager in the contracting sector, and served in multiple managerial and technical roles at Saudi Telecom Company, including facilities management, support services, customer services, and exchanges management. Earlier in his career, he worked as Assistant Director of the Technical Department at Jazan Port.

He has advanced expertise in institutional assessment and excellence awards. He has served as a certified assessor in seven cycles of the King Abdulaziz Quality Award since its establishment, contributing to organizational maturity assessments, evidence reviews, performance analysis, and the identification of improvement opportunities. He also led assessment teams for the Al-Subaie Award for Excellence in Charitable Work and the Al-Mousa Award for Excellence in Quranic Institutes.
